Privacy Policy

- We collect what you give us (your email, and the things you save and share) plus the basics needed to run the service.
- We use it to run Mustash. We don't sell your information or show you ads.
- You decide who sees your Stash: only you, your followers, or anyone.
- You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
Who we are
Mustash ("Mustash", "we", "us") is operated by Proffiliates, Inc., based in California. Mustash is an app for saving and sharing the things you love, such as shows, books, restaurants, and music, and for seeing what the people you follow recommend. This policy covers the Mustash website at mustash.ai and the Mustash app at app.mustash.ai, including any mobile versions.
What we collect
If you join the launch waitlist: your email address.
If you create an account:
- Account details: your email address and the name you choose. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
- Your Stash: the items you save, your notes ("Your Take"), recommendations, and your privacy settings.
- Your connections: who you follow and who follows you.
- What you search for: the text you type when adding something, so we can find it for you.
Automatically: basic technical information that our hosting providers log when you use the service, such as your IP address, browser or device type, and when you visited. We use this to keep the service running and secure. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To provide Mustash: saving your Stash, showing it to the people you've allowed, and letting you follow others.
- To sign you in, for example by emailing you a one-time sign-in code.
- To email you about the launch if you joined the waitlist. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To find the things you search for, and to improve search results.
- To keep Mustash secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
You control your Stash. Each item can be visible to only you, your followers, or anyone, and you can make your whole Stash completely private. Your name and profile are visible to other Mustash users so friends can find you. Items you've made visible to "anyone" or to your followers can be seen by whoever you send your Stash link to; items visible only to you never appear. Replies you post on an item are visible to whoever can see that item, and each person chooses who can reply to their Stash. Mustash also shows anonymous totals in Trending (for example, "5 people saved it"); these can include items shared with followers, never say who saved something, and only appear once at least 3 people saved the same thing. Items visible only to you are never counted.
Services we use
We rely on trusted providers to run Mustash. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

We may also share information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or others.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your account and Stash data, except where we're required to keep something by law. Waitlist emails are kept until launch communications end or you ask us to remove yours.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: you can see and edit your Stash and profile in the app.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing general@proffiliatesinc.com. (An in-app delete option is coming.)
- Email: you can ask us to stop launch emails at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. For example, California residents can request a copy of the personal information we hold about them and ask us to delete it, and we won't treat you differently for making a request. People in the EU or UK have similar rights. Email us and we'll help.
Children
Mustash isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and database rules that stop anyone from seeing items you've kept private. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the app.
